OREM, Utah (ABC4) — George Hodgson Zinn, the first man arrested in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk shooting, appeared in court earlier today in a second waiver hearing.
George Zinn, 71, appeared in the Provo District Court earlier today in ongoing court cases, after being charged with one count of Obstruction of Justice and four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was formally charged on September 19 and had a waiver hearing on September 24, 2025. Today, he had a second waiver hearing, in which a third waiver hearing was scheduled for October 29, 2025.
Zinn was first arrested following the shooting of Charlie Kirk on UVU campus on September 10, 2025. While he was cleared on having any direct involvement in the shooting, he allegedly yelled "I shot him, now shoot me" in the im
