GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) β A man has been convicted of second-degree murder in the May 2023 shooting death of a Gallatin teenager.
That's what the jury handed down after a four-day trial in Sumner County.
Amare Parker was just 16 years old when he was shot and killed while walking near the railroad tracks in Gallatin.

"They thought that the friend was offering them a ride, so they went running up to the car and someone in the backseat opened the door and fired at least seven shots," Sumner County Assistant District Attorney Tara Wyllie said.
