LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - An investigation is underway after a juvenile was shot on the grounds of a Lakota elementary school in the northern Cincinnati suburbs late Wednesday, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and Liberty Township fire crews responded to a report of a 16-year-old shot in the leg outside Woodland Elementary School, 6923 Dutchland Parkway, shortly before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A juvenile was shot in the leg on school grounds and taken to West Chester Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Chris Morris tells FOX19 NOW.
Sgt. Morris declined to release the juvenile’s age and sex due to the ongoing investigation.
Deputies were seen searching the area for hours overnight.
No arrests have been made, but the public is not at risk, Sgt. M
