It’s officially feeling like fall across North Jersey this Thursday morning, with cool temperatures and frost advisories in effect for parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service.

As of 4:30 a.m., temperatures dipped to a brisk 54 degrees in downtown Newark, prompting commuters to reach for jackets before heading out.

Further north, Sussex and Morris counties are experiencing even colder conditions, with frost warnings issued for some areas.

Despite the chilly start, the day will remain dry and sunny, offering a crisp and comfortable autumn feel. Forecasters say clear skies will persist into the evening, with overnight lows expected to hover in the upper 40s.
