GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) -- Another person has been arrested in connection to a homicide investigation out of Guilford County, according to a Guilford County Sheriff's Office news release.

On Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, around 1:16 p.m., Guilford County Sheriff's Office detectives were told that Amber Marie Schimmelpfenning’s missing Chevrolet Avalanche was at a home on the 4800 block of Oakdale Drive in Winston-Salem.

GCSO detectives responded with the Winston-Salem Police Department and began investigating.

The Avalanche was located at the home, along with Amber's remains. Parts of the body had been dismembered, and those body parts were not at the scene, deputies say.
