CHICAGO (WLS) -- The second annual Chicago Fashion Week kicks begins on Thursday with citywide runway shows.

For 10 days, Chicago will be home to fashion designers and creatives for fashion week

The city and suburbs will have plenty of runway shows, clothing markets, fashion exhibits, design workshop.

Major fashion weeks cater to the trade and to celebrities and industry professionals looking to buy high fashion. However, Chicago Fashion Week's main goal is to spotlight local talent and invite people to discover and support them.

This year's fashion week schedule features 61 events, an increase from last year's 52.
