EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Evansville Police Department officials say a man was arrested in connection to a shooting that took place Wednesday.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched just after 2 p.m. to the 500 block of North St. Joseph Avenue in response to a shots fire report.

Officers say upon arriving, they found one of the victims whose vehicle was shot.

The victim, who had been shot in the arm and leg, was taken to the hospital. Their condition remains unknown at this time.

The suspect, later identified as Marchello Hoskins Jr., was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Although the shooting did not happen at the Fall Festival, its proximity put a lot of people on edge.
