BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Saturday is local election voting day. Depending on where you live, different items will be up for vote and approval. If you plan on exercising your right to vote, here are a few last-minute reminders before making your way out to the polls.

If you are voting by a written absentee ballot, there is a deadline of Friday afternoon, Oct. 10, by 4:30 p.m. to get that to your registrar of voters’ office. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. As long as you get in line by 8 p.m. Saturday, you will be able to vote.
