Cancer Research UK has confirmed nearly 90 stores, including some in Birmingham , will close down by May 2026.
The charity is aiming to cut the number of its high street locations from 600 to 320 over the process of the next couple of years with bosses claiming the move is due to higher national insurance contributions, inflation pressures and the continuously change habits of consumers.
At the moment the figure stands at 88 shops closing by May 2026, with another 100 gone by April 2027.
Various closures around Britain are expected to impact 600 staff members and up to 3,000 volunteers who help out at the charity shop.
