The Herman Brown Free Library in Burnet is hosting a genealogy workshop from 9:30 a.m.-4:40 p.m. Oct. 17.

The free, come-and-go event in the library’s Meeting Room will help people explore their family history and learn practical research skills. Participants can pick and choose from six video presentations covering a range of relevant topics presented by genealogy experts and tour the library’s research center.

“This workshop is a great opportunity for anyone interested in tracing their family roots, whether you’re just getting started or are an experienced researcher,” said genealogy librarian Amanda Seim in a media release about the event.

The program is free, but reservations are required. Sign up at hermanbrownlibrary.org .

The workshop is co-sponsored by the Waco-McLennan Count
