THUNDER BAY — A locally-made film is being released for home viewing as of Friday.
A Sobering Story was released in festivals and last year and had multiple showings across the city, as well as in Canada and the United States, all of which sold out quickly.
Filmmaker Ryan La Via told Newswatch in a 2024 interview that making the film available accessible online so as many people as possible would be a priority this year.
"We need this film to get out there and to be seen by as many people as possible. I think that's the way it could maybe help elicit some change," he said.
