MORNING HEADLINES | Charleston officials are warning that low-lying areas likely will see flooding Thursday and Friday due to king tides.

“The worst flooding is expected Thursday morning and Friday morning, which will impact motorists and could enter homes and businesses in vulnerable areas,” according to a release.

Tides are projected to peak today at 8 feet at 10:06 a.m. and 7.6 feet at 10:31 p.m. On Friday, peaks are expected at 10:02 a.m. (8.4 feet) and 11:38 p.m. (7 feet.) Meanwhile in other water-related news:
