GREAT FALLS, S.C. (WBTV) - A driver was killed after crashing into a tractor-trailer in Chester County on Wednesday morning, according to troopers.

As of this writing, the person who died has not been identified.

What happened

The collision reportedly happened around 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, along Pendergrass Boulevard near Catawba River Road in Great Falls.

Troopers said a Jeep traveling southbound along Catawba River Road struck an 18-wheeler headed east on Pendergrass Boulevard.

Reports stated that the driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead on-site. No other injuries were reported.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash.
