LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)-- A man from Buffalo, New York, was sentenced to 7 to 20 years to prison for child sex crimes.

Ingham County's 30th Circuit Court found Dominic Anthony Candelaria, 27, guilty of child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime.

The sheriff's office alleged Candelaria used social media platforms to obtain sexually explicit images and videos, including from a 12-year-old child from Ingham County.

Candelaria was arrested and handed over from New York after a detective from the Ingham County Sheriff's Office identified him as a suspect in an online child exploitation investigation.

Several tips were submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and investigators say Candelaria had been under investigation by multipl
