BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) --- A bodega worker was stabbed in the throat while escorting the suspect out of the Brooklyn store last week, according to police and sources.

The 46-year-old victim was attacked during a fight in the Mini Market at 1500 Broadway near Jefferson Avenue in Bushwick at around 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 29, according to the NYPD.

Sources said the victim was escorting the suspect out of the bodega when the suspect pulled a knife and slashed him in the throat. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, dressed in a dark-colored sweatsuit, a black headscarf with white and black sneakers, was last seen heading east on Jefferson Avenue, police said.

There have been no arrests.
