An Edinburgh Cancer Research shop is one of almost 90 stores to be closed by the charity across the United Kingdom by May 2026.

The Ormiston Terrace unit, Corstorphine , will cease operating in the coming months with several jobs being put at risk.

The 88 store closures are part of the first stage of a plan to cut nearly half of Cancer Research's 600 High Street outlets. A further 100 are planned to close by April 2027.

The charity said it was cutting its retail footprint in response to rising national insurance contributions, inflationary pressures, and changes in consumer behaviour.

The coming changes will affect approximately 600 staff members and up to 3,000 volunteers who contribute to the charity's mission.
