A senior revenue official and his aide were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly accepting a Rs 2 lakh bribe to fast-track land mutation and survey processes.

Nalgonda: Anti-Corruption Bureau ( ACB ) Nalgonda Range unit officials apprehended a senior revenue official and his associate on Thursday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh to expedite land-related processes in Chityal mandal.

The accused, Guguloth Krishna, Tahsildar of Chityal Mandal, was caught red-handed while accepting the payment through his intermediary, Gattu Ramesh, a private individual. Both were arrested and produced before the IInd Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally, Hyderabad, for further proceedings.
