TROPICAL STORM JERRY:

Tropical Storm Jerry has formed far out in the Atlantic Ocean. Jerry is moving WNW at 18 mph with winds 65 mph. Advertisement

Jerry could become a hurricane by the end of this week as it moves toward the northern Leeward Islands.

By this weekend, Jerry will be heading north and out to sea while passing east of Bermuda.

IMPACTS:

Wind: Tropical storm conditions are possible in portions of the northern Leeward Islands late Thursday and Friday.

Rainfall: On Thursday, 2 to 4 inches of rain are expected across the Leeward Islands due to Jerry. This rainfall brings a risk of flash flooding, especially in areas of higher terrain.

No impacts expected for the U.S. at this time.
