A man accused of striking and killing a 6-year-old boy in Slidell is no longer facing any charges connected to the case.
St. Tammany District Attorney Colin Sims confirmed Thursday that all charges against Cody Beaudette have been dropped. Advertisement
Those charges were vehicular homicide, reckless operation, hit-and-run, driving while intoxicated, child endangerment, driving with a suspended license and no child restraints.
This comes after the St. Tammany Sheriff's Office announced a new arrest in the case.
Connie Noel Estes, 40, was taken into custody on Aug. 29. Deputies say she is charged with felony hit-and-run charges and obstruction.
Beaudette was accused of striking and killing Jeremiah Ramirez, who was riding his scooter on Northshore Lane on Aug. 13.
