An Edinburgh restaurant is set to host a one night only fried chicken collaboration with a twist.

Ardfern, which opened opened in 2024 by Roberta Hall-McCarron and Shaun McCarron, and has already earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand (2025) and widespread praise for its modern, relaxed approach to Scottish cooking, will team up with Birds Fried Chicken.

The Rare Birds series has already taken Glasgow by storm but this will be their first venture into the capital, bringing together two widely regarded kitchens. The night will look to 'blur the lines' between everyday and fine dining.
