RICHLAND COUNTY, ND (KXNET) — North Dakota regulators approved the Abercrombie Solar project today, clearing two key permits and unlocking a build that promises about 300 construction jobs and $23.8 million in tax revenue over 35 years.
The North Dakota Public Service Commission signed off on two actions: a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) and a site certificate transfer for the project in Abercrombie Township, Richland County. The transfer moves the site certificate from Flicker Tail Solar Project LLC — the current developer — to Otter Tail Power Company, which will carry the project forward after all approvals are in place.
For people in the region, construction is said to bring around 300 jobs, giving the local economy a boost. Over time, the project is expected
