FERGUSON, Mo. - The Ferguson Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured near Florissant Valley Community College Thursday afternoon.

According the department, officials were alerted to reports of gunfire around 4 p.m. Officials are working to determine what led up to the shooting, but FOX 2 has learned that there is no lockdown on campus.

Other law enforcement are at the scene, which has now been secured following the shooting. The status of the shooting victim's condition is unknown at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation; no person of interest has been identified as of now.
