FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) - Darius Stills, a former standout football player at Fairmont Senior and West Virginia University, has returned to Fairmont as a defensive assistant coach for Fairmont State.
Stills, known for his excellence on the field as a defensive lineman, is now bringing his expertise to the sidelines, aiming to help the Falcons improve.
"Football ends for everyone eventually. I knew when my time came, I wanted to start coaching," said Stills, reflecting on his transition from player to coach.
After injuries cut his pro football career short, Stills returned to Fairmont to start his growing family, but his itch to return to football remained.
