FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas (U of A) is preparing to hang recently donated Ten Commandments posters in classrooms across campus in order to comply with a state law passed earlier this year.

The move makes the U of A one of the first public universities in the country to mandate the Ten Commandments be displayed in buildings.

John Thomas, a spokesperson for the university, shared the following statement with 5NEWS:

"The university recently received donated posters of the Ten Commandments, and we are beginning to install the posters in university buildings and facilities as required under act 573 2025."
