WASHINGTON D.C. (KAMR/KCIT) — Congressman Ronny Jackson introduced the Agriculture Infrastructure Stability Act.

The bill could create a lifeline for the cotton industry which has been impacted by decreased production and increase financial solvency of downstream cotton infrastructure operations in recent years according to the release.

If passed the bill would develop a crop insurance policy to help cotton producers manage increased risk associated with harvesting crops that failed in the early growing season, through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, according to Jackson.
