BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- Far from the drama playing out inside the federal courthouse in Bridgeport where former Connecticut state official Kosta Diamantis' bribery and extortion trial stretched into its fourth day -- federal marshals served a subpoena to the state attorney general's office.
"You are commanded to appear in the United States district court at the time, date, and place shown below to testify in this criminal case," the subpoena read.
The language of the document is typical -- the recipient is anything but. At the urging of Diamantis' defense attorney, Gov. Ned Lamont found himself on the receiving end of the subpoena.
