John Mateer began the year on fire in his first year in Norman, but suffered a broken bone in his throwing hand Sept. 20. He had surgery to repair the injury, and by Saturday, he'll be post-op by 17 days.
The Southeastern Conference teams release an official injury report Wednesday evening every week and Mateer is listed as "questionable" by the Sooners. The Washington State transfer would be playing against Texas for the first time, should he able to suit up.
