CHEYENNE — Cheyenne City Council members have started the process of reevaluating how city officials assign zoning to properties annexed from Laramie County, shifting from the current one-to-one match to a case-by-case analysis.
At a meeting Monday, Public Services Committee members moved to recommend approval of an ordinance amending Section 2.2.8 , which covers assigned zoning, of the city’s Unified Development Code so that it conforms with the comprehensive revision of Laramie County Zoning Regulations, which passed through the Laramie County Commission on Aug. 5.
When a property is annexed from Laramie County into the city, the City Council must also assign a zone to that property. In the past, Cheyenne Planning and Development Department officials have assigned each county zoning
