AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Families affected by the closure of Pleasant Valley Elementary School gathered Thursday evening to voice their concerns directly to Amarillo Independent School District officials, marking the latest chapter in a year-long fight for the school’s reopening.

The Pleasant Valley River Road Revitalization Group , which has been advocating for the elementary school’s reopening since the consolidation, organized the town hall meeting to discuss the future of the closed campus.

District officials emphasized their commitment to hearing community input.
