MILFORD -- After their initial budget failed in July, the town of Milford is just two weeks away from another town-wide vote on their school budget.

"Apparently we have to go back to square one and approve all of the school articles again," said school committee member Mike Hildreth of the upcoming meeting.

That need for approval is due to multiple miscommunications according to school board members. While concerns were raised about the budget's potential incompatibility with state statute, a report from the school committee's legal team revealed no illegalities were found.

"Everything's legal. There was some confusion on how the articles were presented," Hildreth explained. "We have a town meeting scheduled on the 23rd of this month to approve the school budget, hopefully."
