MARYSVILLE – Caltrans is reminding motorists that now is the time to prepare for wet weather and winter driving, as an early season storm is forecast to bring valley rain and mountain snow early next week.

The National Weather Service (NWS) forecast calls for several inches of mountain snow around 5,000 to 6,500 feet and 1 to 2 inches of valley rain Monday, October 13 through Wednesday, October 15 . There is still a bit of uncertainty with the exact track and timing of the storm but it serves as a reminder that motorists should start preparing for the changing weather pattern.

Winterize Your Vehicle

Check your radiator fluid level and add antifreeze/coolant as needed.
