Ford Driving Skills for Life will offer a free training program for teens at Marshall High School, 701 N. Marshall Ave., on Oct. 18.
The program aims to teach essential driving skills in a controlled environment with professional instructors, according to a community announcement.
Participants will learn about the dangers of distracted and impaired driving, skid control, vehicle handling and electric scooter safety. The program is designed to address factors that contribute to teen crashes, such as inexperience and distracted driving.
The training is open to teens with a valid driver's license or learner's permit. Morning and afternoon sessions will be available, with up to 90 teens able to participate throughout the day.
