Cleveland State University’s decision to end its student-run radio programming at WCSB, 89.3 FM, is perhaps the dumbest decision since Napoleon invaded Russia (“ Student-run station now in Ideastream’s jazz hands ,” Oct. 9). For almost 50 years, the volunteer DJs at ‘CSB have serenaded Northeast Ohio with a variety of musical genres rarely found elsewhere on the dial. ‘CSB could scratch an itch and satisfy a craving like no other. From the mellow folk tunes of laid-back Timmie the Hippie to the jumpin’ 50’s R & B of ultra-cool, ultra-funny Herb, ‘CSB was truly “destination radio,” 24/7.
