LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - Drier air has settled in Acadiana leading to beautiful weather to start the day. Sunshine will fill the sky as temperatures gradually warm through the day. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s with a nice breeze through the afternoon. This evening, temperatures will drop into the 70s making for pleasant conditions for any plans including Friday night football. Tonight, skies clear as temperatures settle in the 50s and 60s.

In the tropics, there are two systems we are currently tracking. The first is Tropical Storm Jerry which is battling against wind shear and dry air. Jerry looks to remain fairly weak as it is pulled northward into the open Atlantic.
