Households have been urged to look out for the arrival of a special payment worth £150 later this month.

The payment is being handed out by the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ).

The DWP hands out the payment, known as the Warm Home Discount, to help households pay their electricity bills.

Not every household is eligible for the payments, however.

There are two types of households that can can apply for payment, which are pensioners or households on a low income.
