Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder after an alleged hit-and-run in Edinburgh .
Emergency services raced to the collision on Prestonfield Avenue at around 9.40pm on Friday, September 26 after reports a man was hit by a van.
Crews attended and the pedestrian, a 29-year-old man was found seriously injured. He was taken to hospital shortly after the incident for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
Officers from Police Scotland have now confirmed that two men, both aged 28, have been arrested and charged in connection. Article continues below
They have since appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court . Images from the scene show multiple cop vehicles in attendance.
