While the end of immediate bloodshed in Gaza is becoming increasingly likely, experts have warned that the West Bank could quickly become the new flashpoint in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

A ceasefire is due to come into force in Gaza on Friday , after crunch talks brokered by the US, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey resulted in a tentative peace agreement between Israel and Hamas.

But experts said that the war may simply open up on a new front in the occupied West Bank, where settler violence has been soaring and the Israeli military presence has increased. New Feature
