On Friday at 1:45 a.m. an updated frost advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 9 a.m. for Southern Erie.

"Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The frost will be confined to areas inland from Lake Erie."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," explains the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
