A tight cutoff low pressure embedded in the jet stream will spin down through the Great Lakes and threaten rain Saturday. The trend has been closer to New York, but not all the way into Rochester. Rain splashes across Michigan, but a slightly eastward shift in forecast track will bring rain overhead. We will lean dry for now, but there is a chance for rain. We turn our eye to the coast Sunday. Low pressure moving into New Jersey will bring a soaking rain the New England coastline. We need to figure out how far west the rain extends. If it stretches into the Finger Lakes, it could be a very wet finish to the weekend.
