BELOIT, Wis. -- An early morning crash caused authorities to close the southbound lanes of I-43 near Beloit Friday morning.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the crash is located just before the off-ramp to exit 1.5 near Hart Road.

Officials are expecting the road to be closed for over two hours.

WISDOT is asking drivers who take this route to instead take US 14 to US 11 and then get back onto southbound I-39/90 to get around the crash.
