The nonprofit Crossnore Communities for Children's Board of Trustees has opted to split the duties of its chief executive into two job positions.
The board announced Wednesday that as of Oct. 1, Brett Loftis will serve as just president of the agency. He has been president and chief executive since 2013.
His job duties will include external relations, the Center for Trauma Resilient Communities, and leadership of Crossnore’s two charter schools: Anderson Academy on the 1001 Reynolds Road Winston-Salem campus; and Williams Academy on the Avery County campus.
Loftis directed Crossnore's 2017 merger with The Children's Home in Winston-Salem.
Meanwhile, Sarah Norris has been promoted from chief program officer to the chief executive role. In this role, she oversees operations, finance and
