SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A man was charged with larceny after police said he stole nearly $1,400 worth of vacuums from Target in South Windsor.

South Windsor police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Jalil Cox of New Haven.

Police said the incident happened in August.

They said Cox and two other suspects took two Dyson vacuums valued at $1,399.98.

Cox was arrested by Hamden police and transferred into South Windsor police custody.

He was charged with fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny.

He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and given a court date of Oct. 29 in Manchester.
