Fire crews remain at the scene of a huge gorse fire that erupted on the outskirts of a Scots town.
The raging inferno broke out at around 6pm on October 9 at the River Lossie, in Lossiemouth, Moray.
Shocking images show giant ferocious flames engulfing the area with huge plumes of thick smoke rising into the air.
Fire engines remain at the scene and are working to make the area safe.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 6.22pm on Thursday, 9 October, to reports of a fire in the open affecting gorse along the River Lossie, Lossiemouth. "Operations Control has mobilised three appliances to the scene. "The fire front is approximately 100 metres by 20 metres and crews are currently working to make the area safe.
