CHICAGO — Police are searching for answers on Friday morning after a woman forced a suspect from her home during an overnight break-in on the city's North Side.
According to police, the incident unfolded in the 2000 block of West Lunt Avenue, in Rogers Park, just before 2 a.m.
Officers said they were first called to the scene following a report that an unidentified male had entered her home through a basement window.
The victim, a 32-year-old woman, was able to force the suspect from her home and officers said that was when he fled the scene on foot.
Officers said the woman was not injured during the incident and refused medical services on the scene.
An investigation into the incident is now underway and officers said no arrests have been made.
