DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Dandridge man is facing human trafficking charges in Georgia, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office posted on Facebook that Vaughn Dewayne Scarbrough, 54, had an active warrant out of Whitfield County, Georgia, for criminal attempt trafficking a person for sexual servitude. Investigators made contact with him at his home in Dandridge, placing him in custody. JCSO said deputies found a baggy and crystal-like substance that appeared to be methamphetamine after searching his person. Scarbrough is at the Jefferson County Detention Center until he can be extradited to Whitfield County, Georgia.
