DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has announced that a Dandridge man is facing human trafficking charges out of Georgia.

JCSO said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation told investigators on Monday that there was an active warrant out of Whitfield County, Georgia for 54-year-old Vaughn Scarborough, of Dandridge, for criminal attempt and human trafficking.

Investigators found Scarborough at his house on Meadow Wood Circle and arrested him," JCSO Said. During his arrest, officials found a bag on Scarborough that contained what appeared to be methamphetamine.

Scarborough is currently detained at the Jefferson County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Whitfield County.
