With less than a month before the general election, Northampton County is still seeking poll workers.
The county is recruiting for several paid positions to ensure polling places run smoothly on Election Day. Open roles include Judge of Election, Majority and Minority Inspectors, Clerks, and Machine Operators.
A Judge of Election earns $200 for the day, plus $50 for attending a training session and mileage reimbursement. The position is responsible for managing the polling site, assigning duties, and returning all materials to the election office.
It’s an elected four-year position, but the board of elections can appoint someone to fill a vacancy if necessary.
