CHICAGO (WLS) -- Authorities have identified the 16-year-old boy found shot to death Wednesday morning on Chicago's South Side.

The teen, Kamari Brockman, was found just before 8 a.m. in an alley in the 6000-block of South Prairie Avenue in Washington Park.

It's not clear when the shooting occurred or what led up to it.

Brockman had a gunshot wound to the chest, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

There is no one in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.

Chopper 7 was over the scene Wednesday morning, and Chicago police were seen investigating a large area.

Cars were filled with bullet holes.

Neighbors said they woke up to a large police presence.

Some heard gunshots overnight, as well.
