Bus passengers in Tillicoultry insist they have “had enough” over issues with chronic unreliability on a service to Stirling. ‌

The number 52 route - which operates between the two spots and takes in areas such as Alva and Alloa - has been slammed by residents for “chronic no-shows” and long gaps between services. ‌

It is claimed the issues with reliability on the buses - operated by McGill’s - are cutting people from GP appointments, as well as getting into Stirling for shopping and other meetings. ‌

One of those impacted is Tillicoultry’s Stephen McKenna, who says he is reliant upon the bus to get to and from the GP surgery in Alva and has been forced to take taxis to avoid missing time-critical appointments.
