WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested in Wyoming County after deputies said they found suspected fentanyl during a traffic stop earlier this week.

According to a criminal complaint, a deputy was traveling on Stephenson Basin Mountain on October 6, 2025, when he got behind a black SUV with a North Carolina temporary registration.

The deputy reported that the vehicle crossed the center yellow line twice, prompting a traffic stop.

The driver, who reportedly did not have a valid driver’s license, was asked to exit the vehicle and gave the deputy permission to search it.

One of the passengers, identified as 38-year-old Zachary Calfee, was asked to step out of the vehicle. As Calfee exited, the deputy observed two pieces of aluminum foil fall from his waist area.
